Manor House Restoration – kitchen
The original house was built in 17th century near the foundations of an earlier structure then rebuilt in the 18th century. Over the years the property had been altered and lost some of its original features and proportions but has been brought back to life thanks to a beautiful and well considered restoration. We worked closely with both the cleints and their architects, Gavin and Sarah of Woodford Architectureon, on this project which was deservedly awarded a Gold Award in the Devon Building Control Building Excellence Awards 2020.
With the exception of the striking downstairs cloakroom our clients wanted the bathrooms and ensuites to follow a similar style throughout the house. They wanted rooms that would gently blend and flow with the house rather than have individally styled or themed bathrooms .
