Oak Framed Newbuild
Built on the family farm, this warm and cosy home has been designed to stayed true to its rustic roots and blend with the rural backdrop. We wanted to create a design that was simple enough not to detract from the extensive Green Oak framing but still be styish, sociable and a practical family kitchen.
During this project we worked very closely with our client to create a kitchen space that is simple enough not to detract from the extensive Green Oak framing of the building’s structure but at the same time is stylish, sociable and functional. A handleless, white bulthaup kitchen was selected, with matching 60mm worktops, and a raised Ash breakfast bar on the island to provide a sociable hub and gentle screening from general kitchen chaos! The kitchen is set on a natural slate floor and this, combined with the Oak beams, give this contemporary kitchen space a lovely organic feel.
A bank of 3 tall units house the ovens, fridge and freezer. The large island, with storage either side, is fitted with an induction hob and Teppan Yaki and has an Aluminium cased wing extractor suspended overhead to minimise cooking smells. A long run of base units extends the width of the window and incorporates a drinks fridge, dishwasher, numerous bins and further storage.
Having just completed a new build project I have dealt with over 20 suppliers and Mark at Sapphire Spaces has consistently been one of the most responsive and a delight to work with. The kitchen design process was fast (due to my timescales) but took into account everything on my wish list and more and was on budget. The resulting kitchen was installed efficiently and although there were a couple of minor issues, these were resolved swiftly. The end result is a kitchen that is beautiful to look at, fantastic to cook in, great quality and the service throughout has been outstanding. I highly recommend Sapphire Spaces and Mark in particular.
