Vitra Hal Wood Chair in White
Designed by Jasper Morrison
Hal is Jasper Morrison’s interpretation of the Plastic Chair designed by Charles and Ray Eames, reworked by Vitra to create a modernistic masterpiece. It’s wooden frame is topped with a plastic polypropylene shell, which remains strong and tensile throughout it’s lifetime, The shell carefully tapered off with rounded corners and smooth lines to help to increase its practicality and comfort levels. The mixing of materials, blending plastic and oak, helps to create the main silhouette and contrast of this design, giving the chair an exciting and contemporary feel to it.
Dimensions: Width: 47cm x Depth: 49cm x Height: 79cm, Seat Height: 43cm
Fitted with soft felt glides to help to protect floors from scratching, the base of the Hal Wood Chair’s wooden legs are softened to allow you to move it throughout the house with ease. The plastic joints also help to provide a strong foundation for the four-legged base, which bring the shell and the legs together throughout its powerful plastic mould.
