Crisp whites and soft metallics shine through in this chic East Devon designer beach house.

the brief:

Keen to avoid an obvious nautical theme, our client opted for a more minimalist design in her stylish Sidmouth home. For this project we worked on the kitchen, laundry room and a shower/wash down area to use when coming in from the beach.

the design:

When planning a minimal, mainly white interior texture is key. This coastal kitchen includes white and aluminium cabinetry by bulthaup with a light reflecting polished white quartz worktop also by bulthaup. Gaggenau appliances, with a silver finish, sit beautifully against the expertly engineered natural aluminium tall units.

Pocket doors discreetly house a drinks and breakfast station and the floor to ceiling tall units provide plenty of storage to keep this understated kitchen clutter free. We have also used white bulthaup wall panelling which adds depth and provides soft lighting on breezy summer evenings to this designer beach house.

Striking artwork, a glass dining table and comfy sofas in a soft, neutral colour give warmth and character to this family space.
