Sapphire Spaces is proud to be a stockist of Carl Hansen & Son, the Danish furniture company who are passionate about craftsmanship and quality.

The showroom displays some of the chairs of the company’s renowned designer, Hans J. Wegner, who has been associated with Carl Hansen & Son since 1949.

The company celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2008, a milestone few family-owned companies reach. Even rarer are the furniture manufacturers that span a century of changing tastes and technologies.

In 2001 Carl Hansen & Son moved to a new, modern factory in Aarup, Denmark, where the firm continues to combine hand-crafted care with the best technologies available to produce furniture of the highest quality – efficiently and sustainably.

Today, Carl Hansen & Son continues to cooperate closely with the Hans J. Wegner Studio to introduce or reintroduce outstanding designs from the treasure chest that Wegner left behind, including the legendary Wishbone Chair ,which has been produced without interruption ever since.
