This year celebrates the 70th anniversary of the Mama Bear Chair; designed by Hans J. Wegner in 1954 for Carl Hansen, the Mama Bear is a lesson in form and function, craftsmanship and courage.
The CH78 Lounge Chair, affectionately known as the Mama Bear Chair, was introduced as an extension of Wegner’s compact CH71 Chair, both models offered a striking alternative to the heavy lounge chairs of the 1950s.
