The Iconic Tulip Chair was designed by Eero Saarinen in 1957 for Knoll Studio.
Eero Saarinen vowed to address the “ugly, confusing, unrestful world” he observed underneath chairs and tables, the so-called “slum of legs.” Five-years later, the revolutionary Pedestal Collection was launched, including the Tulip side and arm chair plus footstool as well as the iconic oval dining table.
